Things to know before turning on Auto-Bid
Auto-Bid is a great way to increase engagement and take the work of bidding off of your donors. Instead of manually clicking bid when an attendee is participating in an auction, they will be able to set a maximum amount they would like to bid. After doing so, the system will bid on their behalf either until they are outbid or win the item!
To turn on Auto-Bid you will navigate to the 'Advanced Settings' tab within the manager portal. After doing so, you will scroll down and click to the "Auto-Bid Mode" toggle on the lower left hand side of the page, pictured below. It is important to note that due to the nature of this feature, toggling on will turn on "Auto-Bid Mode" for all available auction items.
Determining an Auto-Bid from a Regular Bid
In order to distinguish an auto-bid from a regular bid, you will first open the current bids on your item by clicking the three horizontal lines on said item card, shown below:
This will populate a list of attendees who have bid or are currently bidding on this item. The attendees who have utilized the Auto-Bid Mode will be designated by a purple icon, as seen below.
As bids are placed, the system will continue to place bids attendees who set an auto-bid until their maximum bid is met. Each bid placed by an auto-bid will be designated with a purple icon.
