Utilizing user tags is a great way to create a seamless check-in experience for both your supporters and your check-in team. Once your supporters have been tagged, you can choose users with specific tags to send a message to. In addition, you are able to exclude tags from being sent a message. Follow the steps below to send messages to tagged supporters.
*Please Note: If you select a tag to include and select the same tag to exclude, this tag will receive no messaging.
Sending Messages to Tagged Supporters
1. Navigate to the 'Messaging' tab and locate the "Blast Message" section.
2. Click the toggle under "Send to all attendees" so it reads "No."
3. Next, select the tag(s) you would like the message to be sent to. For example, if we wanted to send a message to board and VIP members, you would select "Board Member," "VIP," and "Sponsor VIP." To select a tag, click the circle to the left of the tag name, pictured below.
4. In addition, to being able to include tags to send, you are able to exclude tags. For example, you have a board member who is also an acting volunteer. This attendee is tagged as both a board member and a volunteer. In this case, you might not want this attendee receiving a VIP and board specific message. Therefore, for this example, we will select "Volunteer" as the tag to exclude.
5. Next, enter your message in the field provided.
6. Click "Send Now" to send your message now or click "Send Later" to schedule your message for a later date and time.
