Event.Gives seating application offers a variety of settings and capabilities. This article will help you better understand these setting and navigate the application with ease.

Venue Creation
Blue "+" Button
Allows you to begin building your venue. Hover over this button to see the available options. The options are listed below, as they appear, from top to bottom.
- Square Room Object- Example: A stage, bar, vendor booth, etc...
- Circle Room Object- Example: Bar, dessert table, stage, etc...
- Square Table
- Circle Table
Pink Revert Action Button
To the right of the blue "+" button is a revert button. Should you add a table or room object that you did not intend to or that you no longer need, click the arrow pointing left, shown below.
Adjusting Your Venue Map View
On the bottom right hand side of your venue map are a few functions that assist with zooming in, zooming out, fitting the tables in the screen, and resetting your view to the defaulted zoom.
- Zoom Functionality- The first two buttons, pictured below, allow you to zoom in and out.
- Fit All Tables- By clicking the circular arrow, shown below, you are able to quickly zoom to perfectly fit all of your tables in one view.
- Auto Reset View To Default- Clicking this reverts your view (zoom settings) to the default zoom settings. This button allows you to quickly reset your view if you zoom too far in or out.
Top Navigation Bar
- Event Information- In the upper right hand corner, you will see the Event.Gives logo. To the right of this logo is your event name and event ID.
- "Edit Venue" And "Assign Seats" Mode- These two tabs allow you to switch back and forth from editing your venue to "Assign Seats" mode to begin assigning supporters to seats.
- Save, Export, And Import- Save your venue by clicking the "Save" button. The down arrow allows you to export you venue. This will export in a schema file. The up arrow allows you to import previous venues. These imports must be a schema file.
- Your Account Information and Logout- Click the circle containing your first initial. Once clicked, you will see your account information as well as the "Logout" button.
Right Hand Side Bar For Tables
- Once a table has been added, you will be able to adjust the amount of seats, rename the table, rotate the table, duplicate the table, and change the table shape.
Right Hand Side Bar For Room Objects
- Once a room object is added, you can adjust its size, rename it, rotate it, duplicate it, and change its shape, as shown below.
Assigning Supporters
Clicking Into A Table
- Clicking into a table allows you to view who is currently sat at this table.
Moving Guests To A Different Seat Within The Same Table
- After clicking into a table that has supporters assigned, you will these supporters listed to the right of your venue under the table name. You can then drag a supporter to reorder them within the table. For example, if I grabbed Leslie, a supporter at seat 1 and moved it below Callie, the supporter currently at seat 2, then Leslie would move to seat 2 and Callie would be at seat 1.
Assigning An Entire Party To A Table
- After clicking into a table, you can click the blue icon pictured below to assign an entire party to a table.
Clicking Into A User To See Account Information
- Whether you are clicking into a table to see the current assigned supporters or looking through available supporters to assign to an empty table/seat, you are able to click into a supporter to view their account. To do so, click into the initial circle or the name of the supporter to view their account information.
Using The Global Search
- When you are on the 'Assign Seats' tab, you will a search field in the upper left hand corner. This is the global search! Use the global search feature to quickly find a supporter and the their associated table.
