Double the Donation

Double the Donation offers a corporate matching program that helps passively increase event revenue. This article reviews the process of connecting your Double the Donation account to Event.Gives to offer your attendees corporate matching options. In addition, this article reviews how this integration appears to an attendee making a donation and utilizing Double the Donation's corporate matching process. Entering In Your Double the Donation Account Key 

1. Navigate to the 'Settings' tab.

2. Scroll to the "Integrations" section and locate the "Connect to Double the Donation" field, pictured below. 

3. Next, enter your Double the Donation key into the field provided and click "Save Changes." 

4. You are now connected! 

Attendee Experience If Their Donation Does Not Meet Corporate Match Minimum

1. Once the attendee has a qualifying transaction in their cart (donation or vote-to-donate item), they will be prompted to search their company, pictured below.  

2. Once a company has been located and selected, the system will prompt the attendee to up their donation by a specific amount in order to meet the corporate matching minimum, pictured below. 

3. If the attendee would like to meet the corporate match minimum, they can click the blue "Add $#" button. Once clicked, it will add the appropriate amount to the attendees cart to ensure they meet the corporate matching donation minimum. 

Attendee Experience Purchasing A General Donation

1. In order to qualify for Double the Donation's corporate matching program, supporters are required to have a donation or vote-to-donate donation in their cart. 

2. Once the supporter has proceeded to their cart to complete the donation, they will be provided with a search field, pictured below. From here, supporters can begin typing in the name of their employer. If there is a corporate matching program available for their company, it will populate below. 

3. After selecting the employer, the employer name will be shown within the supporter's cart. In order for the supporter to start over and select a new employer, click "Clear company." 

4. Next, they will see a prompt appear offering them the option to double their donation. If they do so, depending on the corporate matching stipulations, this will also double the companies match. In doing so, they are doubling their impact! To double their donation, they will click "Give 4X!"

*Please Note: This will not quadruple their donation. This will instead double their donation as well as double the corporate match. 

5. If they double this donation, by clicking Give 4X!," then they will be able to see both their donation amount double as well as total impact, including the corporate match. 

6. To proceed, the supporter will click the "Complete Purchase" button. 

7. Upon completing their donation, supporters will be presented with the screen below. Each corporate matching program is different, however, the appropriate next steps will always be provided after completing the donation. 

Attendee Experience Purchasing A Vote-To-Donate Item 

1. In order to qualify for Double the Donation's corporate matching program, supporters are required to have a donation or vote-to-donate donation in their cart. 

2. Once the supporter has proceeded to their cart to complete the donation, they will be provided with a search field, pictured below. From here, supporters can begin typing in the name of their employer. If there is a corporate matching program available for their company, it will populate below. 

3. After selecting the employer, the employer name will be shown within the supporter's cart. In order for the supporter to start over and select a new employer, click "Clear company."
