How to Donate

Let's learn a crucial step to mastery: how to donate.

In this lesson, you will learn about the two different ways to donate to an event from the attendee side of your event site. 

*Please Note: If you do not see an option to donate on your event site, it is likely that your event organizer has not enabled donations. 

Option 1- Donate Buttons on the Event Site:

• From your Event Site, attendees will see two buttons allowing you to "Donate Now" in the navigation menu at the top of the event site.  Both buttons will bring up the same modal and follow the same steps. 

• When selected, a donation window will appear with levels pre-set by your organization as well as a custom donation field. 

• After selecting your donation level or entering a custom amount, click the blue "Donate" button. This will add the donation to your cart, so you are able to continue exploring the event site if you would like.  If you would like to checkout now, click the blue "View Cart" button. 
• If you would prefer to continue exploring the event site, you will simply click the cart icon in the upper right hand corner when you are ready to checkout.

• After proceeding to checkout you will, click the blue "Next" button after confirming the items within your cart, shown below.

• After clicking "Next," you will ensure the correct credit card is selected and then click the blue "Complete Purchase" button to complete your donation.

*Please note: If you are donating on a mobile device such as a tablet or a smart phone, you will have the option to utilize Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Option 2- Texting In To Donate:

• Via your mobile phone, you may text in your event's specific keyword determined by your Event Organizer to the Event.Gives provided phone number, which is always +1 (843) 606-5995. After doing so, you will receive a text welcoming you to the event. From here, enter your desired donation amount (no dollar sign needed). Next you will receive confirmation that your donation was made and you will be provided two options to pay for your cart. You can either text the confirmation code provided or follow the link provided to take you to your cart.
