Event.Gives offers a seamless way to track cash and check payments for items, tickets, or donations. Once you have physically received cash or a check payment from your attendee, you will follow the steps below:
Checking Out an Auction Item
- After closing your auction, you can quickly locate an item by utilizing the search bar within the 'Items' tab. You are able to search by the winners name, item number, and item name. Once you have located the item and your attendee is ready to pay, you will click the blue 'Pay Cart' button.
- After clicking the 'Pay Cart' button, the checkout modal will pop-up. In order to accept cash or check, you will click the toggle reading 'Card,' pictured below:
- After clicking the 'Card' toggle, you will have a small space (10 character in total) to note the payment you received. After entering a note to specify payment and ensuring your have the check or cash payment in hand, you will select 'Pay Cart.'
- After paying your attendees cart, the item will have a green overlay with the words "PAID," allowing you to quickly distinguish between paid and unpaid items.
Pro-Tip: You are even able to notate if an item was picked up by the attendee or not.
Checking Out a Donation
- After the end of your event, you can quickly locate a donation by utilizing the search bar within the 'Donations' tab by typing in the donors name. Once you have located the donation and your attendee is ready to pay, you will click the blue 'Pay Cart' button.
- After clicking the 'Pay Cart' button, the checkout modal will pop-up. In order to accept cash or check, you will click the toggle reading 'Card,' pictured below:
- After clicking the 'Card' toggle it will then reflect a green offline toggle, you will have a small space (10 character in total) to note the payment you received. After entering a note to specify payment and ensuring your have the check or cash payment in hand, you will select 'Pay Cart.'
- Once you complete the payment, the donation will be marked as "paid-offline" under the 'donations' tab.
Purchasing a Ticket
- Once you have received cash or a check for the ticket purchase, you can then purchase the ticket for the attendee by navigating to the 'tickets' tab. Click the blue "Purchase Tickets" button at the top.
- Once you have clicked "Purchase Tickets", a small window will pop up in which you can select the ticket type from the list of tickets you created on your event site. Select the ticket and click next.
- From here, you will then be prompted to input the phone number or email of the attendee who is purchasing the tickets using cash or check. Once their information is entered, toggle the blue "card" to offline, enter an optional payment note and click the blue "Purchase" button. Your attendee will then receive an email with their ticket.
- All cash/check payments will be tracked in your payout report as offline purchases.
