Your Paddle Raise Made Easy
Meet the new Quick Donation Log- built to streamline your event workflow. As you enter donations, they appear instantly, giving you clear visibility and confidence in your data. Any entry issues, like unrecognized paddle numbers, are highlighted in an error log so you can resolve them on the spot. Faster processing, fewer interruptions, and a smoother event experience for you and your team.
Using Quick Donations
1. Navigate to the 'Donations' tab.
2. In the lower right hand corner you will see the "Quick Donations" section. To begin, select a donation amount that you would like to begin entering in donations under.
3. After clicking into a donation amount, it will keep this modal open until you click the "x" in the upper right hand corner. This prevents the modal from closing after entering your first donation, allowing you to continue entering all donations of this amount until you're finished.
4. From here, if you have a scribe sheet containing a list of paddle numbers that were raised under that donation amount, you can begin entering them in the field provided. If you would like to enter donations using phone, email, or name, you can do so as well using the provided checkboxes, shown below.
5. As an example, this article will use a paddle number to enter donations. After entering the paddle number in the field, click the "Enter" or "Return" button to add the donation. If you're using a display at your event, you can choose to click "Display as Anonymous" to prevent the donor's name from appearing on the screen.
6. Once entered, you will see the donation appear on the left hand side of this modal, shown below. Any previous donations made using the "Quick Donate" modal under this specific donation amount will appear on the left hand side as well.
6. To remove a mistaken donation, click the small "x" icon to the right of the donation.
7. If the donation has already been paid and you attempt to click the 'X' icon to delete it, a message will appear alerting you that the donation is paid and cannot be deleted.
8. If you enter an erroneous paddle number or a paddle number that is not assigned to a supporter, it will appear as an error, shown below. All errors are stored on the lower left hand side. These errors can be viewed at any point in time by clicking the up arrow.
9. Once opened, you are able to view or remove erroneous entries. Each erroneous entry will show you the paddle number entered, the time and date of this entry, and the user's name who entered this donation.
10. To remove an erroneous donation, click the "x" icon, pictured below.
What happens if my device has slow network or is offline?
When entering donations into the system with a slow or lost network connection, the entries will persist if you remain on the page or refresh it. If your network connection is lost, any donations submitted during that time will appear as 'Floor Donation' until you click the 'Retry' button, allowing the system to retrieve the donor’s name based on the paddle number, phone, or email entered.Once your connection is restored, you can click the green "Retry" button (pictured below) to re-submit the donation. However, if you close or exit the browser, any donations entered while offline or during a slow connection will not be saved.
