If your event organizer has chosen to turn this feature on, then you will be able to donate an item through the event site. Once you have donated an item, your event organizer will need to approve the item for the auction. Your event organizer may contact you using the information provided within your Event.Gives account (phone number or email address) prior to approving an auction item. Follow the steps in this article to learn how you can donate an item.
How to donate an item to an event
1. Login or create an account after landing on your event site. To login or create an account, click the "Login" button in the upper right hand corner of the event site, pictured below.
2. After logging in, you will click "View Items."
3. Next, click "Donate Items."
4. You will be presented with the fields below. All fields, including the image field, are required to donate an item.
- Item Name
- Retail Value
- Item Description
- Item Image(s)
5. Next, once all required fields are complete, click "Submit Donation."
6. Once submitted, you will see an alert that your event organizer will need to accept your donation prior to the item being added to your event. Click "Close."
7. Next, you will be directed to the screen pictured below. To donate another item, click the blue "Donate Another Item" button. To navigate back to the available items within the event, click "View Items."
