Wondering how to assign or re-assign tickets? Let's find out!
Assigning or re-assigning a ticket is easy! In this lesson, you will learn how to assign a ticket both as an attendee and as a manager.
As an Attendee:
From the event site, navigate to the menu bar and locate "My Tickets" (or enter the URL: event.gives/[keyword]/tickets).
This will direct you to your ticket page, which will list all tickets that you have purchased for this event.
To the right of every ticket, there is a blue "Re-Assign" or "Assign" button, depending on if a ticket is already assigned or not.
Click this button and a pop-up window will open to enter the attendee's phone #.
- If the attendee's phone number is associated with an existing account, fields will autofill and you click "Submit."
- If the attendee is a new user, they will need to fill out fields and click "Submit."
As an Event Organizer:
First, navigate to the 'Event Check-In' tab.
From there, you will need to search for the ticket holder (or table) in the search bar.
Click the action button (ellipsis), and select "Re-Assign" from the drop-down menu.
You will need the phone number or email of the new ticket holder to successfully re-assign a ticket.
If the attendee is part of a party you will see a different, smaller drop-down menu; in this case, you will select "View Party."
Next, select "Add Attendee":
You will then be prompted to add the attendee via mobile phone or email.
If the attendee has an account they will be assigned the ticket as seen below:
If the attendee does not have an account, you will be prompted to create an account.
After creating the account, you will be able to assign them the ticket as seen below:
