Learn about Event Support!
To become a Friend of the Expert, you will learn all about the four types of event support: remote, remote plus, production, and on-site.
In the first lesson, you will learn about what you can expect from your remote event expert.
We ask that you hire your remote expert no less than 24 hours prior to the day of your event, in order to allow our team to adequately prepare. Your Remote Event Expert will be available one hour before your event and then for 4 consecutive hours during your event. They will also have a direct line to our tech team. If your event support extends beyond 4 hours, you will be billed $75 at the start of each additional hour.
Before the Event
Your assigned Event Expert's name, contact number, and email address will appear on the top right of the Event Settings tab.
They will reach out via email within 24 hours of being assigned to your event to introduce themselves and discuss the communication plan for the day of the event. Your Event Expert and the entire Customer Success Team are available to help answer any questions leading up to help ensure a successful event.
Day of the Event
Your Event Expert will connect with you 1 hour before the event start time. If you are hosting an in-person event, your Event Expert can guide volunteers through the check-in process and help answer any questions in the hour leading up to the event. If you would rather train your volunteers prior to the event day, your team can book a call with your remote expert in the days or weeks leading up to the event.
During the Event
Your Event Expert will act as an overall support guide to help as needed. They will be able to assist attendees with logging into their accounts and placing bids or donations, as well as answering any inquiries that are submitted through the blue Support button on your event page. They will also have a direct line to the Event.Gives Tech Team. Remote Support ends 4 hours after your event starts unless discussed prior.
After the Event
Your Event Expert will reach out the next business day via email to help answer any questions in regards to closing your event, reporting, and how to get your next event set up!
To purchase remote support:
- On your 'Event Settings' tab, click the orange "Hire an Event Expert" button.
- Select "Remote."
- Enter your credit card information and click "Make Payment."
- Our team will be alerted and you will receive an email with the name, phone number, and email address of your event expert.
We appreciate as much advance notice as possible and require all requests to be submitted at least 24 hours prior to your event. Your event expert's contact info will be sent via email and will also appear on your Event Settings tab. If your event support extends beyond 4 hours, you will be billed $75 at the start of each additional hour.
