Let's learn about Test Mode!
The next step to becoming a First Time Fanatic is mastering Test Mode!
After creating an account on the manager portal, you can create your real event. When first starting, you can create it as a test event with Test Mode.
In test mode, you can create an event with tickets, items, and more without having to worry about transactions charging credit cards. When you are ready to go live, you can simply turn test mode off.
You can use Test Mode before and after creating your event!
Before Creating Your Event:
On the manager portal, click the blue "Create Event" button.
When the Create Event pop-up window appears, you will create your event by entering a title and keyword into their respective field. Then, you will check the box next to "This is a test event." (You can always turn test mode off later.)
Check the "I understand" box, toggle the terms and conditions agreement to yes, and then begin creating your event in test mode.
After Creating Your Event:
On your manager portal, click "Event Actions" in the upper right-hand corner.
In the drop-down menu, select "Turn On Test Mode."
An orange banner will appear at the top of your manager portal. This indicates that your event is in test mode.
To turn OFF test mode:
On your manager portal, click "Event Actions" in the upper right-hand corner.
In the drop-down menu, select "Turn Off Test Mode."
The orange banner will be removed from the top of your event and your event is now live.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you are ready to go live and have turned off test mode, you will need to RECONNECT your Stripe account.
