When your event has concluded and you view your Payout Report, you might notice a payment balance that does not equal out to zero. Depending on whether the balance is positive or negative will determine if you owe money to Event.Gives or if Event.Gives owes additional money to you. Please see below for an explanation of how payout balances are determined.
Our payout system is intuitive and is constantly trying to balance the event balance to an even final payout, meaning there is no event balance or charge once you have accepted the last transaction. With that said, after each transaction or refund, the system will reconcile based on the payout balance.
Due to cash transactions or refunds, the payout balance may change causing the system to charge more or fewer fees based on the current payout balance in order to get that number to 0. If you owe us money at the time of a transaction, the system will charge more to get that payout number to 0. If we owe you money, the system will charge fewer fees to get that payout balance to 0. You can see the breakout per transaction by viewing the payout balance column.
