Tags, found in the 'Supporters' tab, are a great way to send custom messaging and to quickly distinguish between attendee profiles. For example, tagging an attendee as "VIP" allows volunteers and staff assisting with check-in or checkout to better communicate special VIP information. Click here to learn more about creating and assigning tags to attendees. In this article, we will review sending custom messages to attendees with specific tags.
Sending Custom Messages Using Tags
1. For this example, we are going to send a custom message asking all "VIP" tagged attendees to arrive early for a sponsored happy hour. To do so, we will navigate to the 'Supporters' tab and click the filter icon, pictured below.
2. Next, click "All Categories," pictured below.
3. From here, select "User Tags," pictured below.
4. After selecting "User Tags," choose which tags you would like to filter by. For this example, we will select "VIP" by checking the box to the left of the tag name, shown below.
5. Click "Apply filters."
After applying the filter, the list of supporters will only show those who have been assigned the selected tag(s).
6. Next, click the white "Bulk Actions" button.
7. Click "Select / Deselect All Tickets."
8. Click "Bulk Actions" again and then "Send Message."
9. Stay on the "Text Message" option to send a text message. Select "Email Message" if you would like to send an email.
10. Once you have typed your message into the 'Add your message here...' field, click "Send Message."
